Indian Super League (ISL) 2017-18,Now Under Scanner For Using Unauthorised Music At Pune Venue! FIR Filed By Novex Against The Event Organiser Wadhwan Sports.

On 22nd November 2017, a spectacular match was witnessed by football fanatics in the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium,Balewadi, Pune. It was a nail-biting clash between the two Indian Super League(ISL) football teams – FC Pune City and Delhi Dynamos FC. Though the match was a success, the event organising company, Wadhwan Sports Pvt. Ltd., was slapped with a FIR for failing to procure ground performance rights for the songs played at the venue. These songs were from the repertoire of esteemed Music Label, Zee Entertainment Ltd., who have authorised Novex Communications to grant copyrights for their ‘sound recordings’.

NOVEX has filed a case against DheerajRajeshkumarWadhawan& Gaurav Modwel, the directors of Wadhwan Sports Pvt. Ltd. An FIR was registered on 9th April 2018 at the Hinjewadi Police Station, Pune, and a subsequent FIR was filed for restraining any further infringement of Copyrights. The unauthorised songs played by the organisers as highlighted in the FIR were Zingaat (Sairat) and KaalaChashma (BaarBaarDekho).
